Whilst producing drugs to render service for human health, it is essential to protect the environment and our employees’ health as far as possible. This aspect is for us as important as the achievement high quality production.

Our investments utilizing the modern technology in order not to affect the environment and employees are realized within the understanding of “Responsible Care” detailed in Environment-Health-Security concepts. A “Responsible Care Commitment” which was signed by our company in 1993, and is being implemented by the Turkish Chemical Industrialist Association, is the fundamental principle of this understanding.

All business processes from raw material reception to finished product warehousing and including investments and purchasing activities are integrated into environment, safety and health aspects in addition to their quality criteria. The up-to-date status and sustainability of the system is being provided by joint efforts of our employees. The innovations concerning the Environment, Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) are being continuously monitored and supported by trainings.

An Environmental Management and a environment laboratory where environmental management activities are carried out and waste water facility performance is monitored, assures that a functional system is in place in our factory with contributions from active groups involved in environmental and safety issues. Company wide competitions have been organized to encourage the employees within the scope of environmental and OHS activities. Winners in these competitions are being rewarded.

Our environment manager is a member of the Environment Specialized Board and Environment Technical Working Group of Istanbul Chamber of Industry. Moreover, she contributes to the Environment Specialized Board of Turkish Chemical Industry Association as President in addition to her role in Responsible Care activities.

As a company which believes in the importance of the training within the scope of Environment Management activities, our most important project that we have initiated with the contribution of our employees is;

The project of “Investment from Waste to the Future”

In order to raise awareness of environmental consciousness of the company employees and the society; the project has been initiated in 1996 in order to contribute to the economy and to decrease an environmental burden by recycling items such as glass bottles, plastics, paper boxes and paper collected from homes of the employees, workplaces and adjacent firms. Afterwards, this project transformed into a training mission and implemented with the slogan of “investment from waste to future”. ÇEVREM Elementary School was constructed in Düzce which was heavy damaged after two major earthquakes in 1999 by the revenue of this project. Furthermore, computer laboratory, science laboratory and library have been established in the school which was dedicated in the 2001-2002 school year. Afterwards volleyball and basketball courts were built as well. The successful students are being supported for the high school entrance exams by a scholarship system. These students also receive assistance in forms of industry training places and job opportunities.
