A well qualified team of engineers and technicians makes sure that an extensive equipment park of machines, instruments and infrastructure systems are kept properly maintained in a qualified status. Choice and upkeeping of manufacturing equipment, affecting necessary
repair and maintenance work as well as safety and environmental issues are among other
activities of the Engineering Department. The Department's HVAC and maintenance system
has been cited as a Best Practice, among other places, in an audit finding of a
multinational customer.
Our company has led the way in the subject of TRACK & TRACE SYSTEM (TTS).
A study was started by the Ministry of Health, Ministry of Finance, Social Security Foundation,
Pharmaceutical Industry Representatives, Turkish Pharmacist Union and other Non Governmental
Organizations in 2009 with the aim of preventing counterfeit drugs, packaging material and to
monitor and collect data for every stage of drug movement. As of 01.01.2010 all drug products
sold in Turkey must be serialized with a 2D CODE printing. Although our company does not
have a product registered to its name and hence does not carry any primary responsibility,
we have been involved in this project for the goal of providing best service to our customers.
In parallel with the above mentioned issues and by means of the investments in our factory,
TTS has been integrated into all our packaging lines in a short
time by the supplier firm and our company’s technical personnel and TTS has become operational in early 2009.
Besides satisfying legal requirements, TTS has also contributed to the following:
• to collect statistical information regarding packaging lines and their controls,
• to prevent the product mix up,
• to securely separate faulty products
• to follow complaints more completely and to record all packaging process steps
• to achieve 100 % inspection of the box and pallet contents
Due to the fact that PharmaVision is one of the first pharmaceutical manufacturers
who has completed this system in Turkey, our company has been invited to
international meetings to share its experience concerning preliminary preparations,
design of the system, assembly stages and activities for start-up.
Under the organization of "Concept Heidelberg" where also the representatives of the
Ministry of Health have participated, a presentation was made in Berlin, Germany.
Another presentation was done by us in Bilbao, Spain in a seminar organized by "Uhlmann Pharma Forum".
In these presentations made in international platforms; the leading role of Turkey
in this regard has been thoroughly explained to the participants resulting in great interest by them.
