PharmaVision Supports the Özgen Berkol Doğan Science Fiction Library

In line with its environmental sustainability approach, PharmaVision allocates revenues generated through recycling to meaningful social projects and within this framework donated to the Özgen Berkol Doğan Science Fiction Library. This donation was made to support the library in sustaining its cultural activities and reaching a wider audience while also contributing to the strengthening of social awareness.

As Türkiye’s first and only library dedicated to science fiction, the Özgen Berkol Doğan Science Fiction Library is a cultural center that aims to increase interest in science and literature through its extensive collection focusing on science fiction, fantasy and horror genres. In addition to Turkish-language works, the library hosts books, magazines and archival resources published in various languages. It also organizes events throughout the year, such as talks, film screenings, reading groups, workshops and author meetings that support and promote interest in science fiction.

The library takes its name from Mr. Özgen Berkol Doğan, a young scientist who passed away in 2007 while pursuing his doctoral studies in high-energy/particle physics at the Department of Physics at Boğaziçi University. Established by his family in 2012, the library was founded to honor and preserve the scientific curiosity and passion for science fiction of Mr. Özgen Berkol Doğan.

Considering the cultural contributions of the Özgen Berkol Doğan Science Fiction Library, we believe that this donation represents a meaningful support. With the aspiration to contribute to similar initiatives in the future, we will continue our support in the areas of sustainability and cultural development.
